Step count, distance, and calories are considered health and fitness data. This data is processed and stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to any server or shared with any third party. We do not use your health data for advertising or profiling. We do not share any health or fitness data (such as step count, distance, calories, height, weight, or gender) with AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or any third party. All data remains stored and processed only on your device.

Permissions We Use
- Our Step Counter - Pedometer App requires the following permissions to function correctly.

1. android.permission.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION (Physical Activity Access)
Purpose :
- This permission is required to detect your physical activity such as walking, running, and step movement.
How It Is Used :
- To count your steps accurately
- To calculate distance and calories burned based on your movement
We Do Not:
- Track your GPS location
- Monitor your movement history
- Share your activity data with anyone
2. Battery Optimization (Ignore Battery Restrictions)
Purpose :
- Some devices stop background processes to save battery. To ensure step counting continues even when the app is closed or screen is off, we request you to disable battery optimization for our app. Granting this permission is optional. The app will still function, but step counting accuracy may be reduced if not allowed.
How It Is Used :
- To allow the step counting feature to run continuously in the background
- To prevent steps from being missed due to system auto-stop
We Do Not:
- Collect any battery-related data
- Access or modify any other app on your device
3. Background Operation:
- The app processes step count data in the background to ensure accurate tracking even when the screen is off. No location or personal data is collected during background processing. Background processing is strictly limited to step counting and does not involve tracking your GPS location or monitoring any personal activity beyond physical steps.
4. Notification Permission (Water Intake Reminders (Optional))
Purpose :
- Our app may send reminder notifications to help you track your daily water intake and stay hydrated.
- For this feature, the app requests permission to send notifications.
How It Is Used:
- To send gentle reminders at the time you select
- To show daily hydration progress
We Do Not :
- Read, store, or access your personal notifications
- Use notifications for any promotional or marketing purpose
User Control:
- You can turn notifications ON or OFF anytime from the app settings or your phone’s notification settings.
- If you disable notifications, water reminder alerts will stop immediately
Data Retention and Deletion
The app does not collect any personal identity data such as name, phone number, email, contacts, or location. Your data (height, weight, gender) are stored locally on your device only and never uploaded to any server.
However, we use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob, which may automatically collect anonymous device and app usage data. This data is used only to improve app performance and show relevant ads. This data cannot identify you personally.
We do not upload or store your data on any servers. All such data remains on your device. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.
Anonymous analytics and advertising data collected by Firebase and AdMob are retained according to their own data policies and cannot be used to identify you personally. Advertising displayed through Google AdMob does not access or use your data. Ads are based only on device identifiers and general app usage, not on your step or health information.

This information does not identify you personally and is used only for app performance improvement, analytics, and advertising functionality.
Children’s Privacy
